It’s all change at Abington Grove!

Not only has the Abington Grove Salon had an amazing makeover, with new carpets and shiny new wallpaper, but the staff is changing too!

Last week we had to say farewell to Manager Kelly, who is off to have a baby. Fear not she will be back around Christmas, to have a good catch up with you all.

To hold the fort until she gets back Kerry has taken over as Manager and Jade has moved from Far Cotton to help out with Kelly’s busy clientele.

Jade’s day off is now a Tuesday and will be working her late night on a Friday. To book an appointment with her please ring: 01604 722212. We will be more than happy to help.

Christmas is nearly here, I’m so excited!

We all no that Christmas is a busy time of year and if you are anything like me, you will leave everything to the last minute. So to save you the aggro The Cutting Rooms stylists will be working their days off to fit you all in.

Christmas is our busiest time of year, but as we are all now working extra days we still have free appointments. However, make sure you ring up soon. They are going quick!

So here are the extra days:

-George: 16th at Weston Favell, 22nd and 23rd both at St Leonards Rd

-Tracey: 17th and 24th December

-Kelly: 21st December

-Gemma: 24th December, 9am – 12pm

The Cutting Rooms spoil you for choice, when it comes to using the right products for your hair.

To make your decision easier, The Cutting Rooms staff are going to be putting their neck on the line by trying to persuade you into liking their product as much as they do.

So first up… is of course… George.

George’s favourite product of the month is, Redken’s newly released, WAX BLAST.

Wax blast is a high impact finishing spray wax. It smells immense! It adds body and definition to every body’s hair (yes, even you with your fine limp hair), without making it feel all sticky and tacky.

How to use:

This product is the easiest product to use ever! All you have to do is shake the bottle well and mist on dry hair. Unlike normal pots of wax, you won’t get big clumps randomly all over your hair.

”I like using Wax Blast on damp hair, so i dry in loads of texture, it’s great to this on both long and short hair. You only need a little bit, so you bottle will last you forever. However, if you do overload there’s nothing to worry about, because Wax Blast will not make your hair feel greasy or tacky. Unlike most wax’s, Wax Blast is really easy to wash out after you’ve used it, so you don’t have to scrub your hair for an hour after.” George.

Our General Manager Tracey, has completely transformed two gorgeous models with help from our new colour range Redken.

Tracey was aloud to let loose on these models and experiment with what she wanted. She had great fun and the two girls looked absolutely fantastic.

Rosie and Lucy then took part in a professional photo shoot, so we can show you have amazing this stuff is.

Don’t forget to pop in to your next salon to have your Redken skin test if you haven’t already had one.

The Cutting Rooms are proud to inform you that we are changing colour brand from Wella to Redken.

Before you panic… all of our staff have been trained until the point they will explode. We probably know more about Redken than we ever did about Wella. We are able to match your previous colour to Redken, so there shouldn’t be any change to your colour.

Right then… now you have calmed down… The reason why we have changed our colour brand, is so all of our staff can get the best possible training to give you the best possible service.Redken have introduced us to amazing hair colour, which gives everyone amazing results. The Redken range is NYC – inspired, so we will all be walking around like celebrities. Sounds good, eh.

All of Redken colour conditions and protects during every salon service, so you are assured shiny healthy – looking hair, as well as great colour results.

I hope you are all excited as we are. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate and ask.

Finally, if you would like to make and appointment or already have one booked after the 1st June, you have to be skin tested for Redken colour. Please pop in, it can be done straight away, It’s for own safety and only takes a few minutes.

Gemma is back!!!

I would like to inform everybody that from the 24th June 2010, Gemma is coming back from work!! Yay!!

She just can’t keep away!

Gemma will be working on a Thursday (11-8) and a Saturday (9-6), for two weeks then will be picking up a Tuesday from then on.

Gemma would like to say a massive thank you to everybody, who wished her congratulations and bought her and baby Pheobie a present. It means a lot to her all the support everyone gave her.

So getting booking in now…. she is getting busy.

Spring is here! Yay! Finally… this winter feels like it’s gone on forever. Thankfully the sun is now shining and we can enjoy some sun. Which is a massive bonus, specially as now the wedding season has started and everyone wants big glamorous hair. We have done lots of wedding hair already.
